Country style Crostata

Hello Foodies!  How are you? Autumn has arrived! So is the moment for some comfort food to cuddle us and to get ready for the cold weather. So now it’s time for a nice “italian crostata” (tart) with grapefruit jam. Very light because has no butter and perfect for this season with a nice cup of tea. 😉

Ingredients:

-300 Grams of flour

-1 egg

-1 egg white

-100 Grams of sugar

-90 Grams of vegetable oil (corn / sunflower)

-1 Tablespoon of jam

-1 Teaspoon baking powder

-1 Pinch of salt

-150 Grams of jam

-Noci

Begin by mixing the flour with the egg, egg white, salt, sugar and oil. Add the magic touch of this recipe: a spoonful of jam in the dough! Then add the yeast.

Work the dough and roll it out. Then prepare it on a baking sheet. To prevent sticking, you can use baking paper or use a bit ‘of butter / oil and flour on the baking sheet.

Roll out the base on the baking sheet. Add the jam. You can use any kind of jam. What you like best. In this case it is a recipe with grape jam, truly exquisite. Above you can decorate jam tart with strips and …to the oven!

180 degrees … 20-30 minutes. It all depends on your oven. So if you know well your oven you’ll  know when settling. If you do not know well the oven… supervise the cooking.

5 minutes before turning out, add a few nuts over. That’s the crunchy, rustic and perfect touch. If you prefer you can use pine nuts or almonds.

I hope you like it!

See you soon!

Thanks Mafi
