Essentially Orange



Hi Foodies ! Here Fall has already arrived. It is starting to get chilly and the first oranges are already waiting for us in the fruit markets. So now is the time to introduce a very simple salad but very nutritious , perfect against the cold. Pure Vitamin C ! Fresh and perfect as a first course but also as a side dish to accompany meat dishes. Dedicated to orange fans ! 😉



– Oranges

– Baked Olives (dried in the oven) or Black Olives

– Extra Virgin Olive Oil

– Lemon juice

– A bit  of grated ginger

– Salt, Pepper


So I’m not saying the amount of the ingredients because this will depend on you ( how many servings and quantity you want to do). Take the oranges. Peel and cut them into slices. Put them on a plate. Put the olives over the oranges . The baked olives are perfect for this recipe but you can also used simple balck olives 😉


Then take the lemon juice (a little … just to give oomph to our vinaigrette ), pepper , salt, oil and also a nice grated ginger. Mix well.


Use this sauce over the oranges and voilà! Done ! Enjoy this simple but so tasty recipe.


For lovers of fennel … you can also add some thin pieces to the salad. Fit really good .
