Choc and Pears

 

Hello Foodies ! Here we go again. After so much time that I have not updated the blog … I present you something very choc and sweet so that you can forgive me! This cake has accompanied many good times with friends … they felt so relaxed and pampered as soon as they tasted it. Oh yes ! A classic : chocolate and pears. What can I say ? ! Cook it and eat it with much pleasure … like I do with my beloved ones . Yummy !  😉

 

Ingredients:

 

-7 ounces of flour (200 gr)

 

– 3.5 ounces of sugar ( 100 gr)

 

– 1.5 ounces of butter (40 gr)

 

-3 eggs

 

-1 Large pear

 

– 5.3 ounces of dark chocolate (150 gr)

 

-1 Tablespoon baking powder

 

-1 / 2 glass of milk

 

So … let’s begin! Take a saucepan and melt the butter with the chocolate. Slow heat for sure so that it does not burn. You can also do this with the microwave oven. Once all is melted , allow to cool . Take a bowl to mix all the ingredients. Place the sugar with one egg and two egg yolks . Attention! because we will use the two egg whites later. Add the milk and also the chocolate with the butter ( already gunned down ) and then the flour ( sifted if you want ) . Once all is well mixed also add the baking powder. Finally the egg whites (whipped) and mix everything. Be careful, mixing  from the bottom up with a spoon. You will see how the mixture becomes almost frothy . Oh yes! This will make the cake a really soft and sweet 😉

 

Cut the pear into pieces of medium size . You should feel the pear pieces into the cake. If you want you can add more pears. Follow your instinct and taste.

 

Oven preheated to 180 .

 

Prepare a baking pan for cakes . Big one! Because our cake is big. I always prefer to use parchment paper. I know! Makes a little condensation but in this case it is not a problem because the cake is soft and pretty moist . If you prefer you can put a some butter and flour into the mold for the cake to prevent sticking the cake (instead of parchment paper) .

 

It’s time to put the dough into the mold. Put half part of it. Resting above the pear pieces and cover this with the other half of the dough. You can also put a few pieces of pear over the dough to decorate the top.

 

To the oven! 360 Fahrenheit (180 degrees). For 30 minutes . But be careful ! It really depends on each oven! I just changed the kitchen and so I have now a different oven … and this is now much faster and hot… so beware! Always check the moisture of the dough with a knife and so you will know when the cake is ready. Do it once it’s been baking for about 20-25 minutes.

 

Voilà ! Done ! Now only need to put it in a plate… you know … may the creativity be with you! 😀
